A Priest Forever
He rises early each morning, for daily mass at six fifteen. So many souls depend on His presence, as they seek greater sanctity, He’s been given the power to change our gifts, of simple bread and wine into God’s gift of His Son’s true presence, body, blood, soul, and divine. You’re a priest forever, in the order of Melchezadek, under that robe is a man whose given, his life for the love of others, you have taken your cross showing all your children our God is a God of love, blessed and appointed, but surely annointed, you’re a priest forever. There’s a crowd of people standing in a line, with a conscience they can’t ignore, But they know that Christ is awaiting them on the other side of the door, If they confess their sins to the Father, He’s been given the authority, To bind and loose every penalty through the Church and its ministry The power that’s been given to him, is of apostolic descent, Traced all the way back to Jesus, when the first disciples were sent. A family gathers near a basin, with an infant in their hands, Then water flows down the baby’s head, and removes all original sin, Then he asks the parents to promise, to lead them in the way of the Lord, And that he will help them to understand this promise can’t be ignored.
