Be Still

Sometimes the crosses we must bear can seem to be to great, our doubts can tear away at faith until all we feel is fear. But you can make a heart to soar as if on eagles wings. It’s in the valley we’re tried the most, prepared for greater things.

Like a baby resting in its’ mother’s arms, a longing for something true. Our souls become so restless Lord, until they rest in you. High and low we look in vain for happiness to appear. Then your gentle voice bends my ear and this is what I hear.

Be still and know that I am God. Be still all I need is your surrender. Though the storms of life come raging and you may not understand. Be still, you are safe within my hands. My name is I Am.

A flame will just keep burning until all the fuel is gone. And the rivers rise because the rain is what they feed upon. Fill me with your Spirit Lord that thy will shall be done. Let my heart hear your every word, it’s you I lean upon.
