at church, Friends and families joining hands,
breaking bread to share a meal,
but sometimes I wonder, is it only bread they see,
and if God would speak, to tell them,
what he wants us all to see, He'd say:
To give my tender love, I descend from above,
where the bread and wine become divine, my true presence within time
Yet my Love which burns aflame, suffers a greater pain,
if the soul where I reside, doesn't feel the same.
Take this bread it is His body, not a symbol or a sign,
Its a sacrament of divine compassion, a gift in eternity
He is there in persona christi, Heavens doors are open
to me and you, for the veil was torn in two!
