No Greater Love

So many times we have forsaken your ways oh Lord,
But because of your love you take us back,
It's a mystery this love that goes on infinitely
Throughout history we seem to make the same mistakes.

Walking the other today I looked into the face of a little girl and in her eyes I saw your promise of love,
Unless we can become like this child we can't see heaven
only a humble heart can enter through your gates.

There's no greater love, that has no end, Then to lay down one's life for a friend. He was raised up on top of calvary,
So theres a place within His heart for you and me.

Everyday its so easy to see, people consumed by material things. They think they'd be so happy if they just had more of this (or that) The worries of this world can take there toll on a soul, it's an abiding love of the Lord that makes us whole.

The love that we share for one another, it can be so conditional its true, But there's a love that is greater than any worldly love. It's the love Jesus Christ has for you.
